What’s been happening:

From my hometown in the Nittany Valley, I moved on to Providence, RI, where I completed my doctorate in Biology and met my husband, Colin Hackett. As the family expanded and the opportunities changed, we moved West, to Albuquerque,NM, Livermore, CA and Riverside, in Southern California. I took a practical turn of my science and moved into technology transfer, which I have managed at several sites of the University of California, for the past 25 years. All three daughters have finished their educations, and have jobs and families of their own. My dear husband was recently felled by a stroke, but I continue to be active and engaged in the academic community that supports research and technology development in the University. Southern California has lots of Penn State graduates, who talk fondly of the snowy winters and Creamery ice cream, but love the California sunshine and seaside! I'm included!
